If you ever wondered, “What should I do with all these graphic t-shirts that I still like, but no longer wear?” They can be transformed into a new garment that will give them new life. The act of creating something new out of something old can be a rewarding experience, keeping your garments out of the landfills and saving you money. All you need is 6-8 graphic t-shirts to upcycle and a few basic sewing supplies. If you do not have t-shirts to upcycle already in your stash, consider rescuing some from a secondhand shop.
Upcycling the process of reusing discarded objects or materials in such a way as to create a product of higher quality or value than the original.
SKILL LEVEL: ADVANCED BEGINNER
PREREQUISITE: Knits 201A/201B or equivalent experience.
You should have previous machine sewing experience and have completed a few knit projects. You should be comfortable taking your measurements and using those to determine necessary supply amounts. Please email erin@pacificfabrics.com if you are unsure if your skill level is appropriate.
