Silk and other slinky fabrics feel amazing however can be frustrating to work with. We will go over how to handle these luxurious and tricky fabrics while making a silk pillowcase. Areas covered will include cutting, seam finishes and what pins and needles are best to use. During class we will also discuss additional techniques to give you nice background knowledge to tackle future projects.

This kit will include all the supplies needed for the Sew Expo class to practice the techniques and sew your pillowcase.

Please bring basic sewing supplies such as scissors, seam ripper and a seam or measuring gauge with you. If you have a mini or travel iron and a portable ironing pad, we ask you to bring that as well as there will be limited ironing stations available in the classroom.

Please note that you will pick up your kit when you check in for the Sew Expo Silk class on Sunday, March 3^rd at the Puyallup Fairgrounds.
