Have you ever had the urge to sew an entire garment by hand? Or maybe you wished that you knew what type of hand stitch to do for your garment construction finishing. In this class you will learn about different types of hand stitches and what they are used for while we work on samplers of a variety of the most useful hand stitching techniques for garment construction. Sewing a garment by hand can be a rewarding experience and adding your hand stitched finishes to machine stitched projects can elevate the quality of your garments.
Unplugging – In today’s fast paced world of phones, emails and texts, it can be hard to slow the mind down and de-stress. Hand sewing, by its nature, is somewhat slow in movement and that means you are forced into a pace that suits the task. This can help you relax your body and mind.
