If you ever wondered, “How can I express my own unique style?” Consider mending as an option. Most likely, your favorite wardrobe items are in heavy rotation, which naturally results in wear and tear. This is where the art of visible mending comes in. As you layer your handmade stitches, the mending takes on a personality and creates a garment that is one of a kind. The act of mending a favorite garment can be a rewarding experience and it circumvents the fast fashion cycle of buying garments, wearing them for a little while and then throwing them out. All you need is a few supplies and some simple stitches. Remember, a hole is not the end of a garment – it is a chance to make something lovelier!
