In class you will learn how to create two different patterns that you will be able to finish up at home. (You focus on half of an ornament at a time.) \nThis project is perfect for scraps\, Fat Quarters and Jelly Rolls. DESCRIPTION:Are you ready to start making your own clothes? In this class you will learn how to read and follow a sewing pattern while making a pair of pajama pants. We will go over how to determine your size\, simple adjustments\, plus tips and tricks to make the process easier. \nSkills you will learn in class: \n\nHow to accurately take your measurements and determine pattern size\n\no  It’s usually different than your clothing store size! \no  Making simple changes to a pattern to make it more accurately fit you \n\nHow to cut out your fabric\n\no  Pattern piece placement to ensure everything fits on your fabric \no  Paying attention to fabric print direction so nothing ends up upside down \no  Learning about grainlines and why it’s so important to follow them \n\nEver have a sleeve or pant leg twist on you? That’s because it wasn’t on grain.\n\no  How to cut your pieces out \n\nScissors vs. rotary cutters and pins vs. weights\n\no  Confidence in understanding and following the directions and knowing when it’s ok to make changes to make things easier. \n\nFinishing your garment seams so they hold up better with time and wear\nInserting elastic into a casing\nHemming your pants and determining how long they should be\n\n  \nSKILL LEVEL: ADVANCED BEGINNER\nYou should have previous machine sewing experience and have completed several projects. SUMMARY:Sewing 101: How to Use a Sewing Machine
DESCRIPTION:In this class you will learn the basics of how to use a sewing machine and what the accessories that came with it are for. Those skills will then be put into use to make both an envelope and a zipper pillow. We will provide sewing machines and basic sewing supplies for you to use. If you have a sewing machine lurking at home that you want to learn how to use\, please make sure it is in working order before class and bring your manual. \nAll our sewing machines are of the highest quality\, generously supplied by Quality Sewing! DESCRIPTION:“Guess what? It has pockets!” The best dresses always have pockets and these three all have clever front inseam pockets. Tunic and top versions are also an option. \nThe Cielo Dress & Top is an easy\, breezy take on a boxy tee and shift dress. Loaded with interesting details and interchangeable features\, it will fast become a wardrobe-building favorite. Choose between a semi-cropped top with a cuffed short sleeve or a dramatic gathered long sleeve. Or make an easy-fitting dress with sleek inseam pockets or without and your choice of sleeves. All views have a slightly dropped shoulder\, angled shoulder yoke and roomy fit. \nThe Farrow features an elegant A-line shape set off by a jewel neckline. Clever diagonal seaming adds interest and conceals inseam pockets. The option of making the Farrow sleeveless or using the bracelet length sleeves gives it year-round versatility. \nThe Uniform Tunic is designed as a choose your own adventure sewing pattern. While we have provided four options for you\, the possibilities are endless as all of the design features are mix and match!
