DESCRIPTION:Are you working on a project only to find yourself struggling and thinking there must be an easier way? Maybe you want some reassurance that you’re headed in the right direction. (We’ve all been there.) We will have an experienced teacher available to answer your questions and demonstrate what you need to do to successfully complete your project. Plus you can use our Bernina sewing machines\, huge cutting table and basic sewing supplies. \nBring your projects in progress and any pattern(s) or tutorials you are using. Please consult your pattern for additional supplies as they will vary from project to project. \nPrerequisite: Sewing 101 or equivalent experience. \nOur elevator is available Tuesday through Friday 10:00 am – 2:30 pm only. \nBefore you register\, please CLICK HERE to read all of our class policies. \nClass fees are non-refundable unless the class is cancelled by the store. \nDue to changes in Washington State tax law (ESSB 5814) live presentations\, including classes\, are now subject to sales tax. \nYou will receive a 20% discount for your class supplies with your registration receipt. DESCRIPTION:Are you ready to start making your own clothes? In this class you will learn how to read and follow a sewing pattern while making a pair of pajama pants. We will go over how to determine your size\, simple adjustments\, plus tips and tricks to make the process easier. \nSkills you will learn in class: \n\nHow to accurately take your measurements and determine pattern size\n\no  It’s usually different than your clothing store size! \no  Making simple changes to a pattern to make it more accurately fit you \n\nHow to cut out your fabric\n\no  Pattern piece placement to ensure everything fits on your fabric \no  Paying attention to fabric print direction so nothing ends up upside down \no  Learning about grainlines and why it’s so important to follow them \n\nEver have a sleeve or pant leg twist on you? That’s because it wasn’t on grain.\n\no  How to cut your pieces out \n\nScissors vs. rotary cutters and pins vs. weights\n\no  Confidence in understanding and following the directions and knowing when it’s ok to make changes to make things easier. \n\nFinishing your garment seams so they hold up better with time and wear\nInserting elastic into a casing\nHemming your pants and determining how long they should be\n\n  \nSKILL LEVEL: ADVANCED BEGINNER\nYou should have previous machine sewing experience and have completed several projects.
