Kids 106: Bucket Hats

Sunny days call for a cute hat to offer you some protection from the harsh rays of the sun. But most hats in stores are boring so why not make your own? In class you will learn how to make a fully reversible bucket hat that is as stylish as it is functional.

We are so excited to announce our partnership with Made Sewing Studio and that we are now offering sewing classes for kids! Made Sewing is a local company that has offered quality sewing classes with a focus on teaching elementary school aged children since 2010. All classes have been carefully designed with children in mind to ensure a fun, creative and safe experience.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Never sewn on a machine before or have but may not be very confident. Needs assistance with basics like threading and selecting the correct stitch, needle, etc. Haven't completed a project or have but were very frustrated. Please email us at erin@pacificfabrics.com if you are unsure if your skill level is appropriate.
Instructor: Erin Hubner
Instructor Bio: Erin learned to sew as a kid and was always crafty but didn't really get fully into sewing until after college. After making a few rather involved Halloween costumes she realized she could make clothes to wear every day, not just at the end of October. Eventually this led to her going back to school for fashion design and construction and teaching classes for over 6 years. Her main focus may be garment sewing, but she has also worked on accessories, home decor and quilting. Basically, if it involves fabric, thread, yarn, or other similar craft supplies she probably does it on a semi regular basis. Except projects involving hot glue, she does try to stay away from those.
