The only thing better than a great fitting skirt pattern is one with multiple options! Both the Fiore and Reed give you closure options of a center back zIpper or a button front with the Fiore offering a wrap front version as well. The Holyoke can be made with a functional or faux front button placket and has an elasticized back waist. All three skirts can be made in medium weight fabrics such as linen, chambray or denim. The Holyoke and two versions of the Fiore also work well in drapey fabrics like rayon, tencel or silk.
The Fiore Skirt is a chic, high-waisted A-line skirt with just the right amount of flare and volume. A beginner-friendly pattern with multiple variations, this elevated basic has tons of outfit potential. Available in above or below the knee lengths, the Fiore Skirt has three views. Choose between a simple flared skirt with an invisible zipper at the back, an asymmetrical wrap skirt with a single hip pocket or a button front with curved patch pockets.
The Reed is an A-Line skirt with multiple pocket and closure options. Views A and B feature an inset pocket and a button front closure. Views C and D have patch pockets and a center back invisible zipper. The Reed also has two length options: just above the knee and mid-calf.
The Holyoke a breezy full-length skirt with roomy pockets and an easy fit, thanks to an elasticized back waist, faux button placket, and princess seams. Whether made up in a floaty rayon challis or sumptuous linen, the Holyoke will keep you looking cool all summer long.

Instructor: | Erin Hubner |
Instructor Bio: | Erin learned to sew as a kid and was always crafty but didn't really get fully into sewing until after college. After making a few rather involved Halloween costumes she realized she could make clothes to wear every day, not just at the end of October. Eventually this led to her going back to school for fashion design and construction and teaching classes for over 6 years. Her main focus may be garment sewing, but she has also worked on accessories, home decor and quilting. Basically, if it involves fabric, thread, yarn, or other similar craft supplies she probably does it on a semi regular basis. Except projects involving hot glue, she does try to stay away from those. |
