SUMMARY:Holiday 102: Fabric Ornaments
DESCRIPTION:Learn how to make beautiful and unique fabric ornaments with no sewing skills required! Using folded 2 ½” squares you will use pins to create detailed patterns. In class you will learn how to create two different patterns that you will be able to finish up at home. (You focus on half of an ornament at a time.) \nThis project is perfect for scraps\, Fat Quarters and Jelly Rolls. Please keep in mind that solids or small patterns work best for this project – if a print is too large it will just look like large masses of color and will make the pattern you create more difficult to see. \nIncluded in the class cost is a kit fee of $5.00. The kit includes two 3” smooth Styrofoam balls which form the base of the ornaments and two hanging screws. \nYou will start your ornaments in class and finish it up on your own. \nSKILL LEVEL: BEGINNER \nPREREQUISITE: No experience necessary. \nOur elevator is available Tuesday through Friday 10:00 am – 2:30 pm only. \nFind your SUPPLY LIST HERE! \nBefore you register\, please CLICK HERE to read all of our class policies. \nClass fees are non-refundable unless the class is cancelled by the store. \nDue to changes in Washington State tax law (ESSB 5814) live presentations\, including classes\, are now subject to sales tax. \nYou will receive a 20% discount for your class supplies with your registration receipt. SUMMARY:Knits 201B: Basic Tee
DESCRIPTION:Everyone needs a basic tee in their wardrobe and there’s nothing better when you’ve made it yourself to fit exactly how you like it. We will also cover sizing\, adjusting the pattern if needed\, plus tips and tricks to make working with knits easier. \nThis class teaches similar skills as our Knits 201A: Sweatshirt/Tee class however instead of a raglan sleeve\, the patterns feature a traditional set in or drop sleeve and is meant specifically for T-shirt weight fabrics. \nSKILL LEVEL: ADVANCED BEGINNER \nPREREQUISITE: Sewing 101 or equivalent experience. \nYou should have previous machine sewing experience and have completed a few projects. SUMMARY:Quiltbound Chapter #206 Meeting
DESCRIPTION:November Badge: Quilt Historian & Quilt Museums \n \nThe Quilt Historian Badge invites members to follow the thread backward and explore the stories\, people\, techniques\, and traditions that shaped  quilting. This badge can be earned through museum research\, books\, interviews\, family stories\, historic blocks\, old patterns\, or any quilting rabbit hole that makes you say\, “Wait\, I need to know everything about this.” \nThere were so many incredible eras\, styles and influences to choose from\, but ultimately I went with one that included a free project! \nWe will be learning about quilting throughout our nation’s history\, focusing on the perspective of Native Americans. The Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) hosted a mystery quilt along earlier this year (June through October) designed by contemporary Indigenous artists that honors Indigenous stories\, perspectives\, and histories that shape this country. The commemorative wall hanging features four blocks\, each representing distinct periods of United States history through a Native lens: \n\nPre-contact to the American Revolution in 1776\nPost-American Revolution (1776–1901)—the first 125 years\n20th century to present day (1902–2026)—the second 125 years\nOur Shared Future (2026 and beyond)\n\nThe border theme\, “Always Becoming\,” surrounds the different eras of United States history to reflect the idea that the nation\, along with its relationship to the Indigenous peoples of the land\, continues to evolve. \nDuring the meeting you will learn how it is still possible to participate in the quilt along. As a bonus\, if you finish before December 31st\, you can even request a free commemorative label to add to your finished project! I learned about it in September and have been hard at work on my blocks to try and finish in time for our meeting. (Wish me luck!) If you haven’t already earned your Applique Artisan badge\, you will by completing this project. \nThe project received funding from the Smithsonian’s “Our Shared Future: 250\,” a Smithsonian-wide initiative supported by private philanthropy and created to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary and support the Smithsonian vision for the next 250 years. \nFeel free to keep bringing in fabric and scraps to each meeting to share and/or swap. Anything that isn’t claimed will be donated to Project Linus. \nQuiltbound is a creative quilting world for adventurous makers — a place to learn new skills\, make meaningful projects\, find your people\, and take the scenic route through quilting. Along the way you’ll earn badges as you complete themed challenges\, try new techniques\, and explore different areas of quilting. Whether you’re a seasoned stitcher or just starting out\, there’s something for everyone! \nEach month is a badge based quilting adventure designed to help you build skills\, stay motivated and celebrate progress – without pressure or perfection.  Each  Chapter meeting is a local gathering of quilters who want more than just finishing projects—they want connection\, creativity\, and a reason to show up. \nWhy should you join? SUMMARY:Quilting 115: Big Giant Bow
DESCRIPTION:Make a statement with an oversized\, quilted bow! Perfect as a festive tree topper\, a charming door decoration\, or a cute accent in just about any room\, this pattern guides you through creating your very own Big Giant Reversible Quilted Bow. \nThe reversible nature of the bows make them extremely versatile. Use seasonal or holiday fabric on one side and fabric you’ll be happy displaying the rest of the year on the other. When it’s time to make the switch\, undo the center tie and flip the bow around to display the other side. Now you have seasonal décor that you don’t have to put in storage! \nIn class we will go over techniques to make steps of the process easier\, from cutting directional fabric\, quilting the layers together to turning everything right side out. Zip ties are included in the class fee to hold your bow together and take strain off the center tie. If you want to make the patchwork version\, please cut your squares and sew your panels together before class. \nWe will cover additional ways to customize your bow and the patchwork option is a great way to use scraps you’ve been holding onto. Once you make one bow\, you’ll probably be inspired to make more! \nSKILL LEVEL: ADVANCED BEGINNER \nPREREQUISITE: Quilting 101 or equivalent experience. \nYou should have previous quilting experience and have completed a few projects. Please email erin@pacificfabrics.com if you are unsure if your skill level is appropriate. (Gift cards\, classes and services are excluded. Cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions)

Quilting is more fun with friends\, goals\, and a little adventure! Start your journey today and stitch your way to badge-worthy achievements! \nMeetings will take place on the second Saturday OR third Thursday at 10:30 each month.
