I just LOVE the Christmas Holiday time, don't you? The hustle, bustle, shopping for hours and hours, fighting the crowds, wondering what to get Aunt Sue and Uncle Johnny and staying up all night to finish making my presents. WOAH! Wait a minute - that sounds awful! And that, my crafty friends, is why I TOTALLY LOVE Christmas in July ! Each year, Crafty Chris and our staff of uber-creative elves put together an incredible show of ways to make your holidays merry and bright - starting right now! And this year, I do believe, is even better than ever. You'll see a beautiful Trunk Show of samples made by pattern designers and our own talented staff, enjoy an hour long seminar full of tips and techniques for making the wonderful things you'll see and have fun doing a crafty make 'n take project as you munch on holiday cookies. And . . . it's all FREE! Click here to see the dates and more info, then look below for a little taste of what Crafty Chris Claus has for you. Click on the pictures to see a larger image, too! Chris has lots of yummy ideas, that aren't just for Christmas. Like these Pincushions! So cute and these make fabulous gifts and stocking stuffers. I love this kind of project for the Summer. Do the machine stitching in batches, then keep them in a little tote along with your hand stitching and embellishing supplies. You'll have a great take-along project for road trips, vacation and the beach and you'll have a BIG headstart on your gifting list and something cool to stock your "last minute" gift supply, too! What would the Winter holidays be without Poinsettias! Would you believe you can make these? They are SO cool and you'll just love how they are made. No watering required! Sweet felt pillows for your couch or bed! This delightful Santa and Snowman are ready to smile their way into your holiday home and charm their way onto your gift list, too. Are you familar with the Twister Tool we sell in our stores ? It's a super-cool way to make lovely pinwheels and now you can make them into stockings, too. Won't these look great hanging on the hearth? And more stockings! These have a "looks hard, but isn't" tea leaf border that you will love making. Such a nice vintagey touch! Oh, my, there is SO much more - you really must come see! Chris will start on Saturday, July 14th at our SODO Seattle store, then continue on through the next couple of weeks. Click here for the dates, call to reserve a seat or just come on in. And bring your friends! If they find out you did something this cool without them - there may be trouble. LOL Hope you can make it! ~ Annette |

I used to go to the Puyallup store, and now I am just too far away, what about a On-Line Christmas in July, no cookies but we could see the great ideas and get patterns? So sad, there is not one close by, I have even driven to Bellevue to shop, I love Pacific Fabrics.by Cathy Hill on 14 July 2012 at 6:38 a.m.
