On the Way to Paducah

Our customer, Thelma, made this beautiful quilt and it is now on it's way to Paducah KY for the American Quilter's Society Annual Quilt Show & Contest . It was so nice that Thelma brought this in to show us! Here's what she says about her quilt: "I drew the idea while waiting for a plane leaving the Houston TX show (Qu ilt Festival ). Creative juices were flowing! Took me two years to find the fabric and Pacific Fabrics saved the day. I almost finished it (the quilt) with a less than perfect "wall", but waited and it happened that I walked into Pacific Fabrics ( Bremerton ) and there was the perfect wall fabric. I'm very happy with the results. Thanks, Pacific Fabrics."
This picture was sent to us by Thelma - click on it to see a larger version! Thelma named her quilt Welcome Oasis and told me that she doesn't even care if it wins anything or not. It fulfilled her dream and that's what counts. She is sooooo proud of her quilt and she should be! It's absolutely stunning in person - the picture doesn't do it justice, but I wanted to share it with all of you. ~ Audrey |
