Favorite Things Quilt

My friend's daughter wanted a quilt and when I asked her what she liked, I got quite a list! Colors: neon green, hunter orange, hot pink and turquoise. And a few of her favorite things: hot dogs, hamburgers, dogs, chickens, cats and she'd like a horse someday. Plus, she loves to run her toes through the sand and enjoys growing pumpkins. Hmmmmm???!
I put my thinking cap on and the Favorite Things quilt was born. I used 6" squares set with 1" sashing. The quilt is bordered with flip-flops because you can't always go barefoot on the beach, after all.
And then I backed it with a fun bird print - because birds were on the list, too. Now for the binding and then off it goes to it's new owner. Do you think she'll like it? Hope so! ~ Janice |
