I love "cutting corners" - don't you? Anything that involves a shortcut that gives me more time to make wonderful, creative things is OKAY with me! The Cutting Corners Ruler designed by Sharyn Craig promises to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary with a ruler that works wonders. The 16 page included booklet shows you thie secret technique to using this marvelous, accurately marked, measuring tool to eliminate a corner from a block, square, rectangle or triangle while leaving the seam allowance on the remaining piece. Wow! And, as if that's not enough, you get a bonus pattern in the booklet, too. Once you've learned the technique, you'll want more, so check out the companion patterns below.
The Starlet quilt pattern from Cozy Quilts starts by using fat quarters to make simple blocks that turn into magnificent set-in stars with the help of the Cutting Corners Ruler. Finish it off with coordinating borders and bask in it's beauty! Includes instructions for Crib/Lap, Twin, Full/Queen and King sizes.
You'll find the Cutting Corners Ruler and the patterns shown above at all our stores and on our web site. Go ahead, don't be afraid to cut corners - relax, enjoy! ~ Annette |
