Hope you had a great Fourth of July! It made our tip a day late, but I learned something really cool while I was working on a project over the weekend. So I guess it's good that I had an extra day! The project I was working on (you'll see it at Christmas in July) required the use of spray adhesive and, as usual, I was kind of getting it all over. So, by the time I was done, I not only had sticky fingers but a rather "self-adhesive" table, too. I went to the sink to try and wash up and watched as the glue just sort of rolled around on my hands, but didn't actually come off. I thought I could at least sanitize my hands, so I grabbed the hand-sanitizer, rubbed it on and, to my amazed delight, watched as all of the adhesive un-adhered itself from my hands. I figured I was on to something, so I took my sanitizer over to the table, poured a little out and easily cleaned up my gluey mess off the table, too. I just love it when something unexpected like that works out! So - hint for the day? Hand Sanitizer - the key to adhesive clean-up success! ~ Crafty Chris P.S. Okay, I know I'm hi-jacking Chris' blog post, but I overheard something great at our 4th Avenue store about cleaning up today. Mary, one of our staff members, was telling a customer about how terrific Grandma's Secret Spot Remover is and I just had to listen in. The 4th Ave. crew holds a Late Night Sew twice a month (ask them about it!) and one night they had spaghetti with sauce and - you guessed it - somebody got it on their fabric. After a moment of distress, one of the gals grabbed a bottle of Grandma's and sure enough, off came the spot. Wow - that's quite a testimonial! Check it out - you'll find a bucket of Grandmas's Secret near the register at each of our stores. ~ Annette
