Itchin' for some new stitchin'? It's a great time of year to show your USA-proud colors and I found some highly fun patterns for you to try! Take a look: I've always thought that Jeri Kelly designs the coolest wall hangings, so I was pleased to see this little red, white and proud beauty! Americana is super-simple to make in fusible applique and easy stitching. You can quickly have one of these ready to hang on a wall or the porch and whip up a few for gifts, too. Wouldn't it be fun to give to the 4th of July host?
Feeling Patriotic from By Annie is a totally great description of three totally great designs. Working on these boldly patriotic projects will definitely have you feeling patriotic! Annie loves Texture Magic and cleverly used it to add some pop to the white stripes and stars on the pillows and wall hanging. By the time you're done you'll be hooked on magical texture, too! Don't forget the table! Sweet Liberty X-Block placemats and runner from Quilt Queen will be just the thing to add some patriotic bling to your summer holiday buffets. An X-Block template makes it easy and tons of fun and you can even make a bonus wall hanging or narrow runner from your leftover scraps. Sounds like a good deal to me! Are you really short on time? Sweet Liberty Tuffet Pincushions from Miss Rosie are just what you need! These 4" to 6" cuties (7 designs in all) can be stitched up in no time and you'll have a blast putting together different red, white and blue combos. Be sure to pick up this pattern along with any of the others - it's a great one for using up the scraps (Rosie calls them schnibbles) you'll have left over! You'll find these at our stores and online so now you can sew proud, sew bold and sew patriotic! |
